NTX Universe brings a broad collecting weekend to Dallas, Texas, combining Pokémon, sports cards, other TCGs, comics and pop culture under one roof. The three-day event gives card collectors a reason to explore beyond their usual category, with celebrity appearances and comic creators adding another layer to the visit.
The setting is the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, where the venue lists the event in Exhibit Halls B & C. That convention-center footprint matters when planning your day: this is a weekend with separate collecting zones, different guest appearance days and optional paid experiences, so choosing when to attend deserves a little attention before you arrive.
A Full Day of Cards & Collectibles
The advertised card categories include Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Dragon Ball and sports cards with memorabilia. Comics, toys, anime, pop culture and Artist Alley extend the floor beyond trading cards. The organizer describes zones arranged by category, giving you a practical starting point if one part of the hobby is your priority.
Every admission badge includes access to the full show floor and its zones. A single-day ticket does not restrict you to a particular collecting category, so a family can split its attention between cards, comics and art without buying separate zone admissions. Optional celebrity purchases are a separate consideration.
Friday is an evening session, while Saturday and Sunday offer daytime browsing. If your main goal is the vendor floor, choose the session that gives you enough time for the categories you want to explore. If you also want a particular guest, check that person's appearance day before selecting a ticket. A weekend badge spreads those plans across three visits rather than requiring everything to fit into one session.
More Than Just a Card Show
Celebrity appearances are a substantial part of the program. The current organizer guest roster lists Giancarlo Esposito, Sting and DeMarcus Ware for Saturday. Comic creators Nick Dragotta and Daniel Warren Johnson are listed for Saturday and Sunday, while Dan Green, Caitlin Glass and Eric Vale are among the voice actors listed across the weekend.
Those different schedules make the guest roster useful for more than recognizing names. A Friday-only visit will not cover the Saturday-only appearances, and a Sunday visit offers a different combination of guests. Check the individual listing and available purchase details before building a day around a signing.
Autographs and photo opportunities are sold separately from admission. A badge provides access to the event, but it should not be treated as an included autograph or photo purchase. The organizer also advertises giveaways and contests during the weekend; individual rules and timing should guide any plans around those activities.
The convention's mix of Artist Alley, comic creators and memorabilia gives companions something to explore even when they collect different things. You can make cards the center of the visit while leaving time for the creative and entertainment sides of the floor.
A Show for All Levels of Collectors
The ticket choice is mostly about time and access. Single-day passes cover the selected day's standard public hours. The Basic weekend pass covers all three days, while the VIP weekend option adds entry one hour before general admission each day. VIP early entry is particularly relevant if your plans depend on getting onto the floor before the regular opening.
The ticket page also describes a separate VIP check-in counter, a VIP badge and a VIP bag, with limited quantities noted. Advance prices have announced increases, so compare the current options through the "Official Source" before purchasing. Keep any autograph or photo purchases separate when estimating the total cost of your visit.
Kids 5 and under are free with a ticketed adult. Families choosing between one day and a weekend pass can weigh the shorter Friday evening against the longer daytime sessions. You do not need to cover every zone to make the visit worthwhile; the floor's category layout lets you concentrate on the interests your group actually shares.
Arrival also deserves planning. The convention center's parking guidance advises extra time because of construction and roadwork. On-site parking is subject to availability and charged per day, per entry, without in/out privileges. Allow for that separate expense, especially if you intend to return on multiple days. The venue also identifies DART as a transportation option.
